Elijah Kilday was born on January 13, 1842 in Greene County Tennessee. He died on June 30, 1894 also in Greene County, Tennessee. He is buried in New Lebanon Cemetery. He was the son of John P. Kilday and Jane Johnson. On February 23, 1859 he married Amie R Conkin.
Elijah was one of the Bridge Burners during the Civil War.
